Wirral-born and Chetham’s educated, Stephen Hough is an international talent homegrown in the Northwest. His breadth of interests encompasses not only music, but a popular blog, painting and poetry. In this programme of sharp contrasts, the refined and intuitive French-ness of Debussy provides a serene haven from the stormy emotions of Beethoven and Schumann.

Preview 6.30pm Stephen Hough introduces the evening’s programme and talks about his life and work to Peter Davison.
